Although both Israel and America and Iran as well including the whole world very well know that any struggle - or clash or war - can’t resolve an issue effectively for securing lasting peace, howsoever complicated it may be, yet such events or wars still continue to take place in a recurring manner. The history is replete with innumerable examples of such misdeeds committed by many prominent global and military leaders throughout the world. Even several mythological accounts in different cultures do underline this fact commonly described and discussed as the war between truth and untruth or evil or divine and devil.

The latest one, the joint Israel-US massive attack at Iran on 28th February, 2026 and consequent Iranian retaliation again reminds us about the same, as the war between two different cultures. But once begun, it is continuing with ever-fierce form given the obstinate and obdurate stand of both Iran and Israel-America duo one after the other. Obviously the joint Tel Aviv-Washington attack has jolted not only Teheran including the Middle East region but, in fact, the entire world in utter dismay and shock. Although this possibility has been circulating in the air for almost past two months with rapid military preparations by both Washington and Jerusalem, but the aforesaid attack would take place so sudden to aghast the Arab World and the whole world as well and - the way as being witnessed - might had not been forecast in the holy month of the Ramadan. Unfortunately this highly meticulous and joint precision attack killed the Supreme Iranian Leader Ali Khameni including his family members and several prominent leaders including top military commanders, national security chief and many others.

And that has turned Iran bewildered, frustrated, direction-less and even desperate to seek ever-maximum retaliation from its two opponents in union as visible in Teheran’s relentless and wayward air-strikes on Israel and almost all American military bases and embassies established in the Arab world viz. Qatar, Baherin, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, Iraq and more, apart form civilian localities situated therein. Evidently the Iranian desperation is aggressively rising to engulf not only the entire region including fifteen nations in the Arab world but also the adjoining areas in Europe and surrounding oceans and seas. That is clearly visible  in blocking the Strait of Hormuz by Iran - as the prominent pathway and shortest route connecting east and west especially for unrestrained movement of commercial  cargoes and naval ships - and that substantiates Teheran’s frustration to be suitably exploited by its opponents.

While President Trump’s blunt resolve to eliminate the Supreme Leader of Iran with that of his successor Motajba in pipeline so as to ensure a regime change in Teheran can’t be justified in any way howsoever threatening that might have been to Jerusalem or Washington, the mounting directionless massive retaliation by Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and other military contingents joined by terrorist organisations viz. Hezbollah, Houti and Hamas is gradually turning into a likely global disaster, most probably in terms of Third World War.

Here few reasons may be assigned to rationalise the aforesaid possibility. First, the US wishes to reestablish its unrivalled and unchallenged global supremacy and hegemony vis-a-vis the continuing distractions by Russia - the successor of the erstwhile Soviet Union -  engaged in almost unending war with Ukraine on the one hand, and the ascending China confronting multiple challenges and threats due to its own past yet persisting misdeeds and mischievous acts annexing territories of its neighbours into its own mainland and creating instabilities therein leading to  surrounding of cluster of enemies viz. Taiwan, Hong Kong, India and almost all states in Southeast Asia and Indo-Pacific, on the other.

With this end popularly known as the America First ageneda, the US has successfully executed this highhanded agenda by kidnapping Venezuela’s sovereign leader President Maduro and his wife like ordinary criminals to be tried by the American court. The near global silence of the international community over this American bullyism has indeed boosted the morale of President Trump followed by his threats to Greenland and Canada leading to mounting differences between them and also among the NATO alliance-partners altogether appears to have convinced him to go ahead unrestrained even in Iran too, ensuring smooth regime-change in Teheran.

This is why President Trump in association with PM Netenyahau invested sufficient time in tightening their belt and braces to encircle Iran through all corners by exercising all options to pressurize the Islamic state to dance to the American tunes. But no one has expected the brutal assassination of Iran’s Supreme leader Ali Khameni, including almost all prominent leaders numberd nearly 48 or more, falling on first ladder of Islamic governance. Perhaps the global society had expected the same treatment for the killed Ali Khameni as that was meted out to President Maduro with his wife or earlier to Iraqi President Saddam Huessien. Indeed, President Trump had overstepped here and Iran’s desperate and obdurate reactions are apparently being legitimized by the Arab World and other outside powers as well though many regional states in Middle East are the designated US’ military bases having large American investments in oil-wells therein, thus deriving enough socio-economic clout with comforts and stability and security in their favour.

But today, these states may find themselves on a crossroad as to which side to go with consistently deteriorating situations in the battle-field blowing to fumes the entire region with uncounted explosions, barrage of missiles and drones attacking to devastate military and civilian centres resulting into hundreds and thousands of killing of the army personnel and innocent citizens and common men. As obvious, the regional partners in the Arab world, despite accruing all material benefits being enjoyed by them, may possibly return to rejoice their Islamic identity reigning supreme, thus overshadowing all mutual bickerings dividing their regional unity while confronting Iran with Israel and America in union. 

While this conflict is consistently taking an ugly turn with the passage of each moment in the form of ever-increasing massive attacks by all means available and that too in uncontrolled numbers by both the opponents on civilian locations and energy centres eg. government offices and buildings, hotels and schools and colleges, American embassies, military establishments, including oil refineries and nuclear sites in Iran viz. Ishfahan, Nataanz, Fordo to engender the possibility of radiation leakage in the region, the entire scenario has become more and more volatile to result possibly into an unimaginable global conflagration and humanitarian crisis not only confined to Iran and Israel but indeed the entire region and beyond. Further, Washington has also declared the possibility to land its military force along with that of the Israeli “IDF” against Iran to fight the ground battle - as the aerial warfare is stretching beyond limlits to remain indecisive and incurring heavy economic costs to both sides - obviously to accomplish decisive American victory therein so as to install its pro-American democratic government in Teheran for achieving and sustaining its lasting control over rich natural resources for own energy security and maintain its sphere of influence.   

Against this backdrop, while the mounting Iranian attacks on Israel and all American military bases and embassies in the region as above-mentioned have badly shattered the so-proclaimed military superiority of Israel-US duo on the one hand, the new Supreme Leader Mojtaba in Iran has almost defeated the very purpose of the Israel-US joint attack to ensure the regime change in Iran, on the other. Further, Iran has also declared to take full revenge by killing the Israeli’s Prime Minister Netenyahu just as its Supreme Leader Ali Khamneni was killed.

Also the ever-rising attacks and counterattacks by the both belligerents appear to have closed the chances of diplomacy and peace formation exercises. Notwithstanding all these events, the continuing fierce war scenario speaks otherwise for belligerents incurring ever rising costs and devastating their socities and economies, particularly the US’ plunging down deep into this new quagmire with returning body bags of the American soldiers and destruction of precious warships and aircrafts including F-35 - as that had been in Afghanistan or Vietnam in the past.

The ever-mounting instinct of Iran to carryon this war to perhaps the doomsday as they have nothing to loose now with the reiterating threats to pull down Israel and the US to their knees, with unending and ever enhancing massive attacks on Isreal and the American embassies and military bases including almost all Arab states as aforesaid are gradually unnerving the US’ leadership reacting with unimaginable retaliation against Iran, reminds the world about the Pearl Harbour attack by Japan episode and the consequent US’ bombings of first ever Atom bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

Also the US’ desperation may escalate to utter frustration because its weapon’s stock is depleting with failing early warning devices and THAD system in battle ground including arms supply to Ukraine and Gaza apart from an unexpected denial by the NATO powers to help ensure free and unrestrained passage of commercial ships and containres through the Hormuz Straits currently covered under Irani control, carrying crude oil and LPGs for energy security all across the world. Earlier Spain and UAE had refused permission to use their respective air bases for American air strikes against Iran, in addition to mounting internal resistance and demonstrations by the American people against the US’ military attacks on Teheran. Thus all these factors added by unending time schedule altogether may instigate President Trump to rush to exercise the nuclear option to devastate Iran once and for all and bring an end to the ever-stretching war.

Evidently, the world in inching towards Third World War with near possible option of using nuclear weapons not only by America and Israel duo against Iran followed by Teheran’s likely nuclear retaliation in possible association with North Korea’s tyrant Kim Jong-Un and also by Russia and China, as these three powers may proceed to form Moscow-Beijing-Pyongyang axis against Tel Aviv-Washington duo to eliminate the US’ hegemony and its unparalleled global supremacy. While Pyongyang is an unpredictable nuclear power to go to any extent, Russia and Beijing may also follow suit, given their past undemocratic and irresponsible decision-making patterns and such international behaviour.

Obviously in such an advancing fearful scenario, the General Assembly of the United Nations must unitedly resolve, even by sidelining the mandatory Security Council assent, to invoke the doctrine of collective security to ensure immediate ceasefire between the belligerents. Also the saner voices and peace movements in the world including the Non-Aligned Movement - founded and led by India, Yugoslavia, Indonesia, Egypt etc. must come forward to mobilse the global opinion to accomplish the same. This is possible as nothing is beyond human endeavour.
