Zionists interpret all Israeli aggression in the Middle East through a religious lens. Since 1948, to transform the entire Middle East into a part of "Greater Israel," the "settler-colonial" state created by neo-imperialists has carried out continuous ethnic cleansing against the Arabs of Palestine. To create a narrative in support of this crime against humanity, the country's religious and political leaders seek refuge in various stories from Jewish and Christian scriptures.
There is a strong presence of such religious extremists among the followers and supporters of Israel within the Washington establishment, including the two major political parties of America and the "Deep State." The current U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, is one of these radical bigots, who publicly advocated for the Israeli occupation of the entire Middle East just days before the attack on Iran.
In Washington’s current administration, staunch Zionists like Huckabee hold all the important positions. President Trump and his influential son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are part of this group. Israel's warmongering Prime Minister Netanyahu is making an absurd attempt to manufacture legitimacy for an illegal war under 21st-century international law by equating the ongoing conflict with disputes involving Jews in the Persian Empire 2,000 years ago.
Therefore, to Netanyahu and his American followers, all of Israel's operations against Muslims are effectively a "holy war". He refers to Muslims as "Amalek" and considers them fit for slaughter. On the other hand, because the entire Muslim world is divided solely for their own narrow interests, their destruction one by one at the hands of Israel has seemingly become their destiny. I am attempting to provide a brief explanation of the early history of the Muslim Ummah’s fall into today’s miserable state, and specifically, the decline of the last hundred years.
Background of the Ummah's Division
Among the famous speeches that changed the course of human history, several are particularly notable: General Mark Antony’s speech at the funeral of Roman Emperor Julius Caesar in 44 BC; Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) Farewell Pilgrimage sermon; the 1521 testimony "Here I Stand" given by German preacher and founder of Protestantism Martin Luther (I) in his self-defense; U.S. President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address delivered in 1863; multiple speeches by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill during World War II, such as "This was their finest hour," "Blood, toil, tears, and sweat," and "We shall fight on the beaches"; and the 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech by African-American preacher, civil rights leader, and Nobel Peace Prize winner Martin Luther King (II). Each speech is an example of extraordinary eloquence, inspiring and induce huge respect through unbound depth of knowledge. However, I believe that considering the overall and timeless impact on the development of broader human civilization—humanitarian thought, spirituality, and the immense scope of the subject—our Prophet (PBUH) delivered the greatest speech of all time in human history during the Farewell Pilgrimage. It has no parallel.
In that sermon delivered in 10 Hijri (632 AD), alongside the declaration of the perfection of the Islamic religion, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) left behind for all eternity the explanations of economics, the responsibilities and governance methods of an Islamic state, the necessary qualities for the leadership of such a state, duties toward the families and servants of believing Muslims, the end of the slavery, the explanation of Tawhid (Oneness of God), the message of equality in Islam, and the fundamental elements of the Ummah’s unity. Since my writing today concerns the Muslim Ummah, I will quote only that portion of the Prophet's (PBUH) words from the Farewell Sermon.
The problem is that there are so many sects in Islam that even giving these quotes is dangerous. Clerics (Ulema) will start finding faults in the quotes in such a way that it will seem as if they were all present at the Farewell Sermon and heard it with their own ears. Not only that, they will also claim that their description is "Sahih" (authentic) and that of others is against Islam and Hadith. In the contradictory explanations of these clerics, who are themselves divided over Sharia, the condition of ordinary Muslims like us is one of total confusion and harassment.
If my quote does not please the feuding clerics, I will have to hear the insult of being called a "Kafir" (infidel). To avoid these unnecessary controversies, I am simply reminding the readers of the core message: that the Prophet (PBUH) instructed his companions and the Ummah to remain united by hanging to the rope of Islam.
Unfortunately, the disunity that reared its head within the Ummah since the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs never ended. Three of our four Caliphs were martyred. Among them, only Hazrat Umar (RA) was martyred by the weapon of a non-Muslim. Muslims themselves wielded swords against Hazrat Uthman (RA) and Hazrat Ali (RA).
Shimr, the main accused in the murder of the Prophet’s (PBUH) beloved grandson Hazrat Hussain (RA) and his family; the order-giver, the then bloodthirsty Governor of Kufa in Iraq, Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad; and the Umayyad Caliph Yazid ibn Muawiya—all were followers of Islam. The fact that the stains of Hazrat Hussain's holy blood have not faded even today is proven by the ongoing slaughter of Muslims in Iran by Israeli-Americans during the holy month of Ramadan, with the silent support of some Muslim states in the Arab world.
Last week, I wrote a special editorial regarding the attacks being carried out by the United States, in collusion with the defiant "settler-colonial" state of the Middle East, to destroy Iran—one of the centers of ancient human civilization—to fulfill the three-decade-old wish of Israel’s radical Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. My main objective was to state the reality that the current unilateral world order, combining geopolitics, economics, and military power, has come under the absolute control of Israeli-American Zionists.
Over the past century since the First World War, the world situation has gradually reached this state of the gruesome "law of the jungle." The Zionist rulers of Israel and the United States are expressing joy at the killing of Iranian Muslims in a language that even ruthless Mongol rulers like Hulagu Khan would probably feel ashamed of if they were alive today. I believe that even after destroying Baghdad, the medieval seat of knowledge and science in 1258, the cruel descendant of Genghis, Hulagu, did not engage in the kind of uncivilized bluster seen from today’s Netanyahu and Trump.
Zionist Occupation of the Middle East
The rise of modern Zionism began at the dawn of the 20th century. When Germany's military ally, the Ottoman Caliphate of Turkey, was defeated in the First World War, the last bastion of the Muslims fell. After the war, the American-English-French Axis powers partitioned various parts of the Ottoman Caliphate, including Jerusalem, among themselves under the unilateral laws of the victors.
Following the conclusion of the Second World War in 1948, Arab Muslims were displaced from Palestine, and a neo-colonial and racist state was constructed on Islam's third holiest land, primarily for the Jewish inhabitants of Europe, using various convenient interpretations of the Jewish and Christian religions. On the other hand, Western imperialists created many small states across the entire Arab world. As a result, by taking advantage of the division of Muslims in that region, the Great Powers gained permanent ownership by constructing military bases in every newly born so-called Islamic country newly born.
The rulers of these emirates, out of greed to protect their own power and monopolize the immense wealth given by Allah, accepted the subjugation of the Western neo-imperialist powers and the "settler-colonial" state of Israel. One look at the list of American, English, and French bases in the so-called independent countries of the Middle East will make the illusion of the "sovereign" power of the kings, sheikhs, and emirs—who are preoccupied with luxury—clear to the reader:
1. U.S. Bases
The United States has military bases in seven Middle Eastern countries. At least 10,000 U.S. troops are stationed at Qatar's Al-Udeid Air Base, the headquarters of the U.S. Central Command in that region. Bahrain is the main base for the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet; from here, they control the entire Gulf region, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, and part of the Indian Ocean. From their main base in Saudi Arabia, Prince Sultan Air Base, the U.S. Air Force conducts its missions in the Middle East.
There are two U.S. bases in Iraq at Ain al-Asad and Erbil Air Base in Kurdish-autonomous Anbar. Unfortunately, the Kurds, who are primarily Sunni Muslims, have long been acting as pawns for the Zionists against the Ummah in the name of establishing their rights in various countries including Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. It is shocking to compare current Kurds with the noble ruler and conqueror of Jerusalem, Great Salahuddin Ayyubi, who was of Kurdish descent.
Today's Kurds in Iran, Iraq, Turkey, and Syria have assumed the roles of agents and mercenaries for Israel. In the UAE's capital, Abu Dhabi, sits the U.S.-controlled Al-Dhafra Air Base. Iran continues to attack this U.S. base in its resistance war. Muwaffaq Air Base is a U.S. airbase located 100 kilometers northeast of Amman, the capital of Jordan. Camp Arifjan, near Kuwait City, is the forward headquarters of the U.S. Central Army. Beyond these seven countries, U.S. troops are also stationed at the NATO base in the city of Incirlik, Turkey.
2. British Bases
The main British naval base is located in Bahrain. A powerful British fleet consisting of frigates, mine sweepers, submarines, and other support ships is always stationed here. Additionally, there are arrangements to deploy a British carrier fleet at the naval base in Oman, another GCC country. Slightly outside the Middle East, there is a Permanent British Base in Cyprus, where army, navy, and air force units are constantly deployed, ready for war. The British base in Cyprus is also used by U.S. and French forces.
3. French Bases
France primarily looks after its military interests in the Middle East from the UAE. After the Israeli-American attacks on Iran began, France sent an additional fleet of Rafale fighter jets to the Al-Dhafra Air Base. Outside the Middle East, there are French bases in Djibouti and Gabon in Africa.
It is necessary to understand the background of why Arab rulers called upon radical Zionists for protection. Although I know my explanation will create various controversies, there is no way to hide the truth due to my accountability to history. Firstly, these new rulers were not actually kings or monarchs. Neo-imperialists partitioned the Arab lands for their own interests, created small states, and placed the current kings, sheikhs, and emirs in power.
Therefore, the legitimacy of most of the Arab ruling class was produced by the West instead of the people. Secondly, none of the Arab rulers wanted the security of the state. Their only desire was to keep themselves in power so they could own the vast national resources given by Allah in the Middle East. There was a fear of opposition from two sides in fulfilling this objective. The first was the people of the country, and the second was the thousand-year enemy, Shia-populated Iran. To Sunni rulers, Shia Iran has been considered a bigger enemy than the Zionists for generations.
Furthermore, even after the adoption of Islam, the historical conflict between Arabs and Persia has never been resolved. It is noteworthy that although Turks are overwhelmingly Sunni, the conflict between them and the Sunni Arabs has not ended either. Rather, as a result of the Ottoman Caliphate ruling Arab lands for a long time, the Arabs' resentment toward the Turks has continued. Due to this complex and surprising equation of relationships, Arab rulers have increasingly pushed away both Shia Muslim Iran and Sunni Muslim Turkey as enemies, making friends with Zionist Christians and Jews.
As a result, with the passage of a hundred years, the Zionists have become the true masters in all undemocratic Arab states. Today’s UAE is a prime example of this self-destructive equation. I will conclude today’s long piece by briefly highlighting why there is such intense animosity and aggression from the U.S. and Zionists toward Iran.
Iran's Fake Shah Dynasty
As I said before, when the First and Second World Wars ended, the victorious America and Europe performed "surgery" on the weakened Muslim countries of the Middle East to establish global unilateral hegemony, giving birth to new states and a group of spineless, subservient rulers. These are the ones who sit as kings, sheikhs, and emirs of the Middle East.
Although most Sunni rulers accepted Israeli dominance in the Middle East, the people of Persia—one of the oldest lands of human civilization—did not accept defeat. Although a fake Shah dynasty rose in Iran in 1925, just like in neighboring Muslim countries, they never gained acceptance among the broader population of the country. The founder of this so-called dynasty, Reza Khan, was a commander of the Persian Cossack Brigade. In 1921, Reza Khan captured Tehran and became Prime Minister in 1923. Then in 1925, he declared himself King.
From an ordinary soldier, Reza Khan became a ridiculous puppet self-declared king of the land of world-famous emperors like Darius the Great and Cyrus the Great. In 1941, the British occupied Iran, removed Reza Khan from the throne, and declared his more loyal and extravagant son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the new "Shah."
The father, Reza Khan, died in 1944. In the Islamic Revolution of 1979 led by Ayatollah Khomeini, Reza Pahlavi was ousted and forced to leave the country. Before that, in 1953, he had once lost power to Iran's popular Prime Minister, Mohammad Mossadegh. When the patriotic and nationalist Prime Minister Mossadegh nationalized the country's energy resources, the extremely dissatisfied United States, with the help of its intelligence agency, the CIA, ousted and killed him. Reza Pahlavi was reinstated as a devoted agent of Western imperialism, whose fall eventually came through the Islamic Revolution.
He died of cancer in 1980 while in exile in Cairo. Currently, his eldest son, Prince Reza Pahlavi, is dreaming of returning to power in Iran with the support of Zionists in America. Geopolitical, economic, and religious reasons combined are why President Trump, a staunch supporter of Israel, has so much animosity toward Iran's Islamic Revolution. The fact that his administration has been repeatedly talking about "47 years of revenge" since the start of the attacks on Iran is an expression of the inert anger from the defeat at the hands of Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979.
Final Words
There is no scope for illusory imagination that Iran will win an asymmetric war against the joint military forces of Israel and America. However, even though nearly two weeks of the war have passed, the fact that a proud and independent Iran is still conducting a heroic resistance war alone, relying only on Allah, has surprised the world. Despite political differences with the rulers in Tehran, people of conscience all over the world today respect an ancient civilized nation for their valor. Through this unjust war, Washington has publicly confessed that the protection of Zionist Israeli interests is the sole objective of its foreign policy in all circumstances. They have no headache regarding the security of the agent Arab rulers.
As a result of the unjust attack on Iran, the reckless U.S. and Israel have actually become isolated in the world. Their traditional allies like England, Germany, France, and Canada are also remaining silent with great unease. If the eyes of the Arab Sunni rulers do not open even now, it must be understood that Almighty Allah has placed a seal of wrath upon their hearts. And who can save those whom Allah wishes to destroy? However, it can perhaps be said that whatever the outcome of the war, it is only a matter of time before there will be inevitable changes U.S.-Israeli unilateral world order after the war ends. The current world order of shameless thuggery cannot last forever.
