In fact, President Trump’s mounting aggressive adventures and imperialist assertions as reflected in the “America First” agenda are being practiced from Greenland in Artic to Iran in West Asia, apart from other prominent regions due to either being resource rich or strategically or geo-politically important, of the world emerged during the recent past continue to threaten the peace and security and also arouse fear-psychosis throughout the whole world.

Ever since President Donald Trump started his second inning at the US’ helms of affairs, his solemn proclamation to reclaim and reestablish the US’ unparalleled supreme glory as “America First” in the entire world is becoming louder and louder with the passage of each day ahead. Indeed, the America First vision - a unilateralist mission in real terms - of the President Donald Trump appears destined to create global instability and large-scale destruction throughout the world, particularly from Greenland to Iran or Arctic to West Asia. Because his mounting aggressive adventures and imperialist assertions in prominent regions of the world emerged during the recent past continue to threaten the peace and security and also arouse fear-psychosis and panic in the entire global community. While the US administration justifies this ongoing interventionist endeavour based on its unparalleled and awe-inspiring military power in the name of protecting and preserving America’s national interests including prospective ones, the real intention behind the ongoing US’ exercise is to explore and extract precious natural resources in the form of natural gas, crude oil, minerals and ores, apart from water born resources - living or otherwise -  spread over across continents and oceans - be it Arctic, Latin America, Asia particularly West Asia, Africa or Atlantic, Pacific or Indian ocean including all other oceans, seas, long rivers and all other forms of large water reservoirs.  

With this end President Trump’s passionate desire to acquire Greenland from Denmark anyhow in the Arctic, though Russia also wishes to capture Greenland for its own strategic interests, besides instigating Iranians for regime change in Iran on grounds of prevailing internal disturbances therein, have altogether further destabilized the overall complex international scenario. The prevailing worrisome situation is evidently marked by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine fierce war and the Israel-Hamas and Syria-Kurdish armed conflicts, apart from the mounting multifaceted threats in West Asia wherein many of the regional actors viz. Israel, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and few more are already involved in bitter clashes by taking sides against the other either individually or in mutually supportive groups.

Added to the woes is President Trump’s successful intervention in Venezuela on Jan. 03, 2026 and consistently offending threats to Colombia, Panama, Cuba, Mexico on grounds of the continuing illegal trade of narcotics and other contrabands by their citizens - all going against the American national interests. These besides, his militarist and assertion-oriented policies as regards Iran, China, Russia and North Korea on the one hand and the imposition of harsh tariffs over European countries with repeated threats to India, Brazil and Russia and few more countries. Evidently the so-obtained tense scenario has further raised worries among the peace-loving sovereign nations in all over the world.

While President Trump is going directionless in his so-called America First vision by invoking the modern version of Monroe Doctrine propounded by a legendary American  President James Monroe in 1823 just because of his self-oriented behaviour into his imperialist-expansionist policies where he has no respect and regard for the sovereign nations and their national leaders in Europe and Arctic, particularly Denmark and Norway, expanding up to Arab nations, his conflicting stand over European unity and larger Euro-American interests has alarmed the NATO alliance partners as regards their own unity and also the united stand over regional and global issues.

In fact, his all-round military preparations to possibly encircle and devastate Iran, ostensibly to stop ongoing brutal repression of the protesting masses by its Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s government - said to be mired deeply mired in extensive corruptions in the country - but the actual reason is to topple the Khamenei administration which is covertly engaged in uranium enrichment operations at Natanz, Fordo and Isfahan nuclear plant to manufacture nuclear weapons. And that evidently is a direct threat to Israel - a bête-noire of Teheran - and the US’ military bases and armed forces stationed thereon in UAE, Saudi Arabia and few other Arab states like Iraq and Egypt and Gulf nations viz. Qatar, Bahrain, Oman enjoying American support apart from Washington’s huge investments in oil wells and its citizens and technical personnel working therein. Also, the US further wishes to consolidate its overall presence and its military bases in the oil and natural gas rich West Asia so as to easily exploit them for accomplishing its fast rising demand of crucial energy security.

If America ultimately initiates military action over Iran, as it looks highly probable, though the President Trump has recently softened his utterances towards Khamenei as reflected by the 20 Point Peace Plan for Gaza reaching a milestone on 14 January 2026, the consequent scenario will inevitably drag all regional partners into the so-aroused controversy by taking sides either for or against Iran as well as America depending upon their individual strategic ties with the US or Russia or China. While Turkey, the sole Muslim member of NATO, may part with Muslim Arab world having anti-American grudges, the rest of the NATO alliance will obviously go with America. And the so-obtained complicated situation will obviously shatter the unity and strength of this military alliance and also that of the West Asian region.

Evidently, this polarization will prove to be very destructive to the hardly evolved state of the peace and security of the region often characterized as a burning cauldron in the world as Iran has also threatened to take massive retaliation from the US. Although Iran can’t match to the US’ awesome and state-of-the-art military power with large-scale networking of American military bases deployed with ever-huge naval carriers, aircrafts and well-trained and equipped armed forces and may not be able to directly target America with the help of its own weapons, yet the assured Russian and Chinese support followed by that of North Korea, Yemen, Lebanon etc. have obviously bolstered Teheran’s morale and its consequent commitment to retaliate with all-out might against Washington obviously hints to ominous portents not only to the region but to the entire peace-loving community throughout the world.

Perhaps to make the matter worse while the US’ has repeatedly captured Russia’s oil tankers so far in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and elsewhere in Caribbean sea too, China may vigorously retaliate against any country whatsoever including America if it targets Beijing and almost the same stand has been announced by Russia against Europe including America, besides Moscow’s continuing massive strikes in Ukraine. In fact, the US has encircled almost the whole world under its imperialist agenda including Asia, Africa, Artic, Latin America, Caribbean Sea, Middle East or West Asia, Straits of Hormuz, Red Sea, Black Sea and the entire Pacific region especially to extract rich natural resources – minerals, ores, gas and crude oil etc. – apart from spreading and consolidating its sphere of influence in all across continents so as regain its global hegemony once again in the current multi-polar world order.

Since the hitherto established traditional economic and technological powers viz. the US and Russia are reasonably being surpassed by most of the fast developing major powers like China, Japan, Germany, England, France, Italy, Australia, Israel, Brazil and India, the uniqueness of the US’ highly destructive military power still assures to President Trump that the US can still prevail over the whole world to execute its sole wishes howsoever illogical or trouble that may be in the larger interest of humanity.

As it looks that he has no care of the environment, climate, water, air or the mother earth providing shelter to the ever-swallowing human race and several other living beings which may be subjected to unimagined loss or immense ecological imbalance resulting into tremendous calamity for all if a nuclear war triggers anyhow in the world most probably due to the prevailing war of nerves between the US led NATO powers and China, Russia, Iran, North Korea conglomerate including such more states tending towards actual wars between the two. Unfortunately both President Trump and Khamenei are continuing with their harsh words accusing each other and that further mounts their loss of confidence against each other. While President Trump is borrowing time to ensure his cent percent successful strike over Iran as he looks adamant to do so, Khamenei too is fully prepared by tightening his belt and braces to inflict self-defined irreparable losses over the US, if Iran is ultimately subjected to face American strikes.

Hence, the emerging saner voices of national leaders, religious personalities and responsible people across the world must come forward - as the masses in the US, France and Denmark and also in other countries of Europe and elsewhere are coming forward - to unite against any kind of highhandedness or bullying behavior of the super powers viz. the US’ Trump or Russia’s Putin or fast-ascending irresponsible power like China or any state whatsoever and must condemn their such gross lawlessness by launching a collective international opinion to demoralize and isolate them from the global mainstream. Since the United Nations Security Council is helpless due to veto power of the five big nations, the UN General Assembly must unite to restrain such irresponsible actions in the common interest of peace and security in all over the world. While the President Maduro, with his wife, must be released from the US’ illegal custody to safely return to his position in Venezuela to face trial against human rights violations, the US must be condemned for this illegal invasion and President Trump must compensate the losses incurred by the victim nation and must be tried for committing war crimes so as to restore the solemn principle “sovereign equality of nation-state system” as propounded by the Peace Treaty of Westphalia of 1648, intact in letter and spirit. Also the people of Venezuela must be allowed to choose their own leader and not President Donald Trump. Such interference will indeed create a wrong precedent as no sovereign national leader shall remain safe in their country.

This is why perhaps the US citizens are said to be expressing their resentment against President Trump’s precarious imperialist foreign policy reflecting “America First” to subjugate sovereign leaders on the pretext of internal disturbances or drug trafficking or anything else whatsoever that he deems suitable to satiate his self-seeking and irresponsible ego. That aptly manifests in Lord Acton’s ageless wisdom: “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

In this scenario, President Trump must cool down first - or be so-prevailed upon to do so - just to ponder many times over that any of his wrong decisions in terms of initiating air strikes over Iran, Greenland or North Korea and carrying out naval attacks on seas against Russia or China or further ahead against any sovereign nation in Latin America, South America or Africa or anywhere else can engender unimaginable destruction to devastate the peace, progress and security in the entire world. If President Trump is frustrated in not winning Nobel Prize for Peace to fix his monumental place in the world history, why is he putting global peace at risk possibly by help-throwing the global peace-loving community at the mouth of a major global crisis, most likely as the Third World War.
