Over a period of time since they have been in power, some so-called world leaders have exposed themselves enough in terms of their awfully poor sense of understanding of their own societies, and much less of the world at large that has shaped itself over the past several decades. Though there are quite a few of them who aptly fit into that description, three of them stand out, not only in the above sense but more alarmingly, in terms of the sickness of mind which is visible in their narcissistic, psychopathic disposition.


Having followed them and their politics over a period of time now, though merely as a casual observer, I reckon that in terms of deceit, depravity and deviousness, the threesome comprising Trump, Netanyahu and this self-imposed dictator Asim Munir, not necessarily in that order, come across at the top of the heap. What, after all, is common to these thugs who have set the world on fire, literally!


For one thing, it's not merely the delusions of grandeur that they suffer from, rooted as these delusions are in their persona and in the military muscle that they pride themselves on.Also, it’s not the sort of commonality they one beholds in their demeanour and mindset which is autocratic and dictatorial, never mind the fact that whereas the first two were democratically elected dictators, the third (rate) army officer had unconstitutionally and undemocratically perched himself in the most powerful position in his country.Nor is it merely the fact that the countries they lord over are in the possession of nukes that if push comes to shove, a sudden adrenaline rush in their weak nerves could trigger an Armageddon on the planet.That brings us to the most vicious commonality of behaviour of the three most unpredictable, dangerous individuals on the planet. Come to think of it, right now we see at display this tranche of infamous Epstein files involving the famous and the mighty in the US and elsewhere too being matched in sheer filth and prurience by their Pakistani counterpart involving Maryam Nawaz who has made, it's widely believed, secret sleazy videos of top army officers, judges, politicians and bureaucrats as a blackmailing tactic to have her way in the turbulent politics of that country.

  It's widely known that Jeffrey Epstein was an Israeli agent who was planted by the Mossad to do their dirty work that he faithfully did by cleverly manoeuvring himself into the corridors of power in the US and across many countries in the world where he had wormed his way into the favours of the high and mighty including Donald Trump. On the other side, one hears of the so-called Maryam videos which are believed to contain graphic accounts of the sleazy side of the private lives of the movers and shakers of Pakistan, including that of the current army chief of Pakistan. As part of her script, it's pertinent to recall how despite the landslide victory of the PTI of Imran Khan where all the other parties in the fray had received a drubbing in the 2024 elections to the national assembly and where Maryam Nawaz and her father Nawaz Shareef had lost their own seats to the PTI candidates, and by very heavy margins, she had engineered the mid night coup involving the army-supervised massive post counting rigging that had ensured her 'victory' to manipulate for herself a larger-than-life presence in Pakistan. Subsequent to the elections, her appointment as the chief minister of the largest and the most powerful province of Punjab as a quid pro quo for withholding the secret videos may be seen as part of the deal with the army. Besides this, she is being indulged in a lot many other ways by the powerful army to get her to get away with robbing the country of billions of dollars of the public exchequer that includes a boondoggle in the shape of a private luxury jet that has been gifted to her by the country's most powerful man in return for the favour. It's believed that the videos are believed to be too damning to get him to save his job.

It should not come as a surprise that it's these three most unstable, unpredictable men living on the planet who together happen to be the architects of the ongoing wars in the Middle East and in Afghanistan. The hawkishness in their style of functioning derives from the delusions of grandeur that they suffer from in terms of the superior firepower and influence that they fancy they enjoy around the geographical regions that, they like to think, they have the carte blanche to invade and conquer. While on the one hand, Iran has all along been looked upon as a pariah state, an eyesore to the US-Israel axis of evil, on the other hand, Pakistan has a long history of using its influence in Afghanistan and exploiting the ever-so-restive political situation there as part of their doctrine of "strategic depth" in terms of its foreign policy to manoeuvre its way in the affairs of that country as much as to curry favour with their 'masters', in the West, especially the US.

A sense of the degree of stupidity and the abysmally low level of intellect as a trait common to the three men should be clear from the realisation that while the Trump-Netanyahu duo had not factored in the dire consequences prior to their ongoing misadventure in Iran, the other nincompoop has had the audacity to mess around with the Taliban leadership in Afghanistan which has been on the received end of a relentless barrage of aerial strikes by the Pak air force over the past couple of weeks that has led to massive human casualties on the Afghan side of the border. Having offered himself to fight the American war who want him to reclaim the Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan for them following their ignoble exist from Afghanistan in 2021, this poor, under-educated General doesn't seem to have cared enough to know that Afghanistan has a long history of resisting foreign occupation of its land, no matter who and how powerful the occupying powers may have been. The lesson that the Taliban had made the Soviet Union eat the dust that had led to the erstwhile Soviet empire disintegrate into bits and pieces following the latter's ingress into and later their exit from Afghanistan in 1989, with a similar fate having been meted out to the US who had to withdraw from there in 2021, seems to be lost on the General and the self-indulging top army brass in Pakistan. Courtesy the steadfast, stubborn, uncompromising resistance of Imran Khan to the role of the Pak army in the politics of that country and his refusal to surrender to their dictates’, the army now stands completely exposed for how they have ensured their pre-eminence on the political scene of Pakistan and for its 'time-honoured' praxis to tame and dragoon the politicians into toeing their line in return for remaining in office.

The utterly sickening pathological mindset of Asim Munir should also be evident in the entirely illegal, unconstitutional ways in which he wants to pin down Imran Khan and to have him removed from the scene even if that may necessitate yet another misadventure that he is contemplating in the shape of an armed confrontation with India, of which, however, there are unmistakable signs to break out soon. However, the dictator's devious plans seem to be hemmed in by the ever-rising massive upsurge of support of the people of Pakistan in favour of Imran Khan which is made worse – for the General- by the elemental anger among the people of Pakistan against the army dictator for having framed him in multiple fictitious cases and incarcerated him while denying him the basic human rights and amenities that he is entitled to during his custody. These shenanigans by the army have cost it the fabled mass support that it would enjoy unconditionally until not long ago, which has now given way to extreme contempt for the army. It is these developments that have stopped the army chief in his tracks to bring Imran Khan in the harm’s way. In order salvage whatever little good will it can among the people of Pakistan, so that it could unobtrusively go about executing its plans to eliminate Imran Khan, the army is looking up to the earliest opportunity to do the mischief that, they like to imagine, would help to divert people's attention in the midst of an apparently "bigger development" that it fancies would come about in the event of hostilities breaking out between India and Pakistan. In doing so, the army top brass seem to be (mis) guided by their poor reading of the long history of the people of Pakistan rallying behind the army at the time of an armed confrontation with India that the dictator expects to be used as a red herring to deflect people's attention, were he to commit the perfidy that he is keen to carry out during Imran Khan's incarceration while the country would be at war with India. Sadly for army establishment, it’s a deceitful hope to regain the lost ground that it has since lost and that would continue to slip away from under their feet, should they continue to be obsessed with a minus-Imran Pakistan.
