Shakhawat Hussain

M Sakhawat Hossain born 1 February 1948 is a Bangladeshi author and speaker. He is the former Election Commissioner of Bangladesh (2007-2012), retired as a Brigadier General from the Bangladesh Army. Serves as a columnist, freelance commentator on national and international televisions, security and defense analyst. Authored over 20 books including Electoral Reform in Bangladesh 1972-2008.
