Mr. Mahmud joined the Civil Service of Pakistan (CSP) in 1973 and, after serving in several positions, retired as the Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Pakistan. Currently, he is an Adjunct Faculty at a premier institution, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan.
